The Project
Speck Products flagship phone case, Presidio Armor Cloud uses a breakthrough case construction to create the most advance drop protective case to date.
The Process
Speck’s patented Impact Geometry was used as the cornerstone of the design with an assembled liner instead of an overmolded one, creating air pockets behind each geometry to upgrade deflection and help absorb energy. Using this new technique in manufacturing we were able to improve protection and also deliver better results in an even slimmer, more user-friendly body.
The Innovation
An award winning design and smart engineering solidifies this dual-sided compression impactium technology as a leader in the case protection industry. we purposely expose the interior geometry so there is no questioning if it is there or if it actually works.
Presidio2
The Project
A complete and totally redesign of Speck product’s premium phone case line. Leveraging new engineering techniques in mass manufacturing and adhesive technology.
The Process
Developing new materials to adhere the PC shell with the TPU liner was vital to ensuring the quality of the product. Designing an internal geometry to absorb impact to protect the device.
The Innovation
A new generation of case design for Speck products, creating a higher standard for thin protective cases.
Presidio2 Grip
The Project
Much of the feedback the has been received about the Iconic Presidio Grip phone case was the TPU grips would fall off over time. A redesign of the Presidio Grip with a PC grip design ensured confidence that the grip features would not wear or tear off with use.
The Process
Maintaining the grippy feature of the Presidio Grip design was a top priority of the development team. Creating a soft touch coating that would supplement that TPU grip feature allowed the creation of PC grips for the new design
The Innovation
A total redesign of the iconic Presidio Grip case created a new an innovative case that continues the legacy of the extra grip features but also elevates the overall quality of the product.
Presidio Perfect Clear
The Project
Clear phone cases have gained extreme popularity among consumers. Standing out in the market with a clear, thin and protective phone case was the goal for Presidio Perfect Clear.
The Process
A multilayered design was created to maintain a durable and protective phone case without compromising the transparent design.
The Innovation
Maintaining a quality in overall design but also improving the transparent feature for the Presidio Perfect Clear case was achieved with an over-molding manufacturing technique and special clear coating.
